Bugle 326 - Harrogate Evening Chess League

28 February 2020

Jim Postill went 1-0 up at Wetherby before Paul Salisbury equalized for the home team with a stonking win after his opponent took a poisoned pawn.

After half time Peter Rawcliffe put the visitors into the lead with an unusual mate, having exchanged 5 pawns for 3 pieces!

On board 1, Adam Hall polished off his opponent by shepherding a passed pawn to the end; and it ended 3-1 to the visitors - the Woodshifters.
